TQPOC Collective CLT – Queer & Trans People Of Color Collective
Queer and Trans People of Color Collective (TQPOC) Charlotte is a newly form collation of young queer and trans identified individuals living in the city of Charlotte, NC. Our primary mission is to create safe and open community for queer and trans individuals. We are also connected to the greater coalition of QPOC Collectives in Durham, Winston-Salem, Greensboro, and Raleigh. Working to create a larger network of activist, organizers and community members across the state of North Carolina.
Hip Hop University
Hip-Hop University’s mission and purpose is to provide mentoring and tutoring to assist youths in succeeding not just academically, but to soar into the future and uplift their homes, schools, community and future professions. Dropouts and prisons’ rates are extremely high in the urban communities; therefore, our establishment will teach North Carolina Standards with an emphasis in Math and English while integrating positive Hip-Hop culture that will be the motivating factor that brings forth initiatives and lasting learning skills for our youths. These core subjects will be provided by professionals with accreditations in teaching who truly care and aspire to see the youths excel academically and socially
Peoples Power Assembly
The People’s Power Assembly is a forum that welcomes ALL community Members & Organizers. It a space to address all INJUSTICES, create SOLUTIONS, and DEVELOP & SUPPORT local ACTIONS!

The Beloved Community Center of Greensboro, North Carolina (BCC) is a community-based, grassroots empowerment oriented organization. Rooted in Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s legacy of proactive struggles for racial and economic justice, democracy and beloved community, the BCC is committed to grassroots empowerment, especially among minorities, within the context and spirit of forging a beloved community for all resident
Solutions to the problems facing North Carolina and our global community lie within our ability to work together for the common good and to build the leadership and power of young people to create lasting change. In order to create the kind of future we all deserve, we must understand our past, defend the gains made by those who came before us, and ignite and empower everyday people to lead efforts to build a fair and just future. When those most affected by injustice are the leaders who find and implement solutions, we will create a better world.
The Queer People of Color Collective in Greensboro, NC is a community based grassroots organization who are committed to inter-generational community building and promoting conversations across the intersections of race, ethnicity, class, sexual orientation and gender identity.
